Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Travel Required).
Job Summary:
Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A), a leading provider of power generation services, repairs, and parts, is seeking an experienced Steam Turbine Field Service Engineer to join our growing Outage Services team.
In this role, you will provide field engineering support for steam turbine, gas turbine, and generator equipment during maintenance, repair, and outage projects. This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States, with occasional short-term international assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of steam turbine, gas turbine, and generator equipment.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities and field modifications.
- Serve as the lead field engineer, overseeing project execution, safety, labor coordination, and project financial performance.
- Maintain accurate service logs, technical documentation, and final project reports.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of tools and testing equipment.
- Communicate regularly with customers to provide project updates and ensure issue resolution.
- Adhere to all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements, including OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service and support.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Power Generation industry.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing steam turbines, gas turbines, and generator equipment.
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently in field environments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptability and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Project leadership and outage management experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 10/30 safety standards.
- Experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to travel extensively and work in demanding industrial environments.
